The junior athletes from Kuwait have exhibited outstanding athletic growth at a regional level, with four medals in their kit at the Arab U18 Athletics Championships held in Tunis. This is because the promising athletes from Kuwait performed exceptionally well when facing off against top talents from 18 different Arab countries. The record, which is breaking record in the jump, was broken by 2 metres and 6 centimetres. The athlete Abdullatif Faisal, who is a champion, in the 800-metre track won a gold medal in the 800 metres in 1:52.64.

The performances of the Kuwait athletes were excellent at the regional championship. Athlete Mohammad Al-Duaji won a gold medal and set a record in the high jump. the breaking record in the high jump was broken by two metres and six centimetres.The athlete Abdullatif Faisal, who is a champion in the 800-metre track, won a gold medal in the 800 metres in a time of 1:52.64.
Field events were also marked by honours, as Abdulrahman Al-Azmi won a bronze medal in the long jump and broke the national junior record with a jump of 6.80 metres. In addition, a promising athlete, Mahdi Al-Sabbagh, added another bronze medal for Kuwait in the pole vault with a height of 4.20 metres.
National team coach Dr Nasser Al-Jarallah and athletic officials attributed the podium finishes to targeted strategic initiatives established by the Kuwait Athletics Federation. Federation leadership highlighted that rigorous technical preparation, high-performance camps, and structured mentorship programmes were critical factors behind the squad’s high medal conversion rate. Coaching staff emphasised that participating in major regional and continental sports tournaments remains vital for assessing athlete progression, building international competitive resilience, and preparing Kuwait’s next generation of competitors for upcoming global athletic events.
