The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Qatar has launched a digital platform called ‘Hadir’, which aims to streamline administrative and operational work for all mosques in the country, as part of the government’s efforts to accelerate digital transformation in public services. The platform is meant to act as a technology platform for imams and muezzins.
According to the ministry, the introduction of the digital platform is in line with their efforts to embrace advanced technologies in managing mosques by automating processes from paper-based to digital.
Designed as an all-in-one operational tool, Hadir enables direct communication between the Department of Mosques and frontline mosque staff, allowing official instructions, updates and operational information to be exchanged through a secure digital channel. The ministry said the platform will also improve governance by ensuring accurate record-keeping, electronic monitoring and easier auditing of administrative processes.

The application will support operations across 2,456 mosques throughout Qatar and is expected to benefit 3,435 imams and muezzins, making it one of the ministry’s largest digital initiatives for mosque administration. Authorities believe the unified system will standardise procedures while enhancing coordination between headquarters and field personnel.
A key feature of the platform is its dedicated mosque maintenance and cleanliness monitoring system. Through the app, mosque staff can conduct regular inspections, submit real-time reports and record operational observations related to cleaning contractors. The digital reporting process is expected to improve oversight, strengthen accountability and ensure faster responses to maintenance requirements.
Officials said Hadir will help raise operational readiness across Qatar’s mosques by enabling quicker responses to field needs and supporting more efficient management practices. The ministry added that the initiative aligns with its broader objective of adopting modern technologies to deliver higher-quality services while maintaining sustainable standards in the operation and management of mosques nationwide.
